Programs

In line with our Articles of Association, Yayasan LEAP runs programs across three core areas: social, humanitarian, and religious/moral education. Every program is designed with one shared purpose: ensuring that every child in Indonesia, wherever they are, has a fair chance to learn to read and write well.

1. Education & Teacher Training

We establish and support formal and non-formal educational institutions, from early childhood education (PAUD) and kindergarten (TK) through primary school (SD). We also run a Teacher Training Center offering workshops, courses, and seminars to strengthen educators’ pedagogical capacity in teaching early literacy.

2. Research & Academic Publication

We conduct scientific research in education, including literacy mapping surveys across regions, and manage a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research and community service—so that findings genuinely reach teachers and policymakers, not just academic shelves.

3. Digital Innovation & Cyber Education

We build and maintain an integrated literacy website that provides teaching modules, learning aids, and educational media free of charge, for the benefit of educators and learners across Indonesia.

4. Academic Partnerships & Collaboration

We facilitate comparative studies, joint research, and knowledge transfer with universities, educational institutions, and funding bodies, both nationally and internationally.

5. Humanitarian Action & Inclusive Literacy

We provide technical education support, learning mentorship, and literacy resources for children in vulnerable, remote, or underserved areas. This includes advocacy for equal educational access for children with disabilities, mobilizing literacy volunteers for partner schools facing a shortage of trained staff, and running learning recovery and psychosocial support programs for children affected by disasters or crises.

6. Character & Values Education

We integrate moral character and universal values into early childhood learning materials in engaging, age-appropriate ways, and support non-formal religious educational institutions—such as Qur’an learning centers (TPA)—through training in early reading and writing instruction methods for their teachers.
